Wild Cave Tours
Discover Mole Creek’s undeveloped or ‘wild’ caves.
Wild Cave Tours provides exciting trips for people 14 years and over, tailored to suit you. We are experienced caving club people, who have provided professional caving trips for visitors since 1989.
Trips are typically half day experiences for 2 to 6 people from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm (may be flexible). You choose from several available caves when we meet. Each has different scenic features and grades of adventure. Full day trips taking in two caves are available on request, but require excellent fitness. No vertical ropework is involved, except as an option for group bookings (see below). Expert environmental interpretation is a feature of all trips.
Minimum adventure: uneven floors and slippery conditions.
Maximum adventure: climbing, squeezing, wading and bridging.
Options include photography, music/voice, glow-worms, a peaceful wilderness experience, fossils, fauna, speleo-skills, and adventure challenges (Minimal Impact Caving Code compliant).
Inclusions: all caving gear, expert environmental interpretation and picnic lunch.
For group bookings, optional abseiling 24 m into the cave extends the experience (extra cost). Please ask. All trips are specially designed to suit the client group.
Your specialist guides work under Tasmanian license and accreditation requirements.
